Are you struggling to find birth class dates that fit your schedule? Private in-home classes come to you, on your time.

Facilitated by Mel, an experienced midwife and doula who takes a practical approach to birth preparation, our aim is to provide you with comprehensive knowledge of birth and how it can be supported, regardless of where you choose to have your baby.

Session 1

Labour & Birth

Approximately 3.5 hours

In this relaxed and informative session, you'll get everything you need to feel confident and ready for birth.

What We'll Cover

  • How labour typically unfolds and what's happening in your body
  • Pain management options — pharmacological and non-pharmacological
  • Practical tools and tips to help you feel supported
  • The different choices available to you and how to make decisions that feel right
  • How your partner or support person can get involved
  • How to advocate for yourself in any birth setting

The session is completely tailored to you, so we'll focus on what matters most to you and your birth goals.

Session 2

Postpartum & Newborn Care

Approximately 3 hours

This session is all about helping you navigate life with a newborn. We'll talk through what to expect in the early days — both physically and emotionally — as you adjust to life after birth.

What We'll Cover

  • What to expect in the early days after birth
  • Physical and emotional recovery
  • Practical breastfeeding guidance and common challenges
  • Newborn care basics: nappies, bathing, and sleep
  • Building confidence as new parents

The goal? To help you feel more prepared and a little less overwhelmed in those first days and weeks.
