A little bit about us…

Hello! I’m Mel Howells, founder of Serene Births offering Practical Birth Classes Perth.

Our mission is to provide top-tier support classes & unique birth education for expectant parents The topics covered will equip couples with the knowledge and confidence for parenthood.My passion for pregnancy and birth began in 2008. Specifically, I started training as a Registered Midwife in the UK then. However, in 2012, I moved to Australia and left midwifery. Afterwards, for a decade, I worked in early years education. Yet, my love for birth work stayed strong.

Consequently, in 2022, I launched Serene Births to fill a gap in maternity care. Today’s system often fails to fully support women. Therefore, through my business, I offer high-quality birth classes Perth families can rely on for preparation and resources.
